activities are a total focus on a safe working environment. SSRS is proud of it's flawless safety record, a record only possible
to achieve with a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) in place. Some major elements of our SMS are:
Annual audit of 'SSRS Safety Management Plan' by the
Department
of Transport.
All SSRS operational employees are accredited to the highest level of safeworking (WTO31).
All
SSRS locomotive operators are trained in dangerous goods transportation.
Each operational employee has a 3 yearly
review of the WestNetRail Safeworking Rules and must have passed a formal assessment in these rules.
